The Traeger PTG+ is Traeger’s version of a portable pellet grill and it lives up to it’s reputation as a great pellet grill. The grill size is smaller than most other portable pellet grills, coming in at only 12×15 inches, but it’s plenty of grilling space for cooking up about eight burgers, a chicken, or a pork butt. The grill has approximately 173 square inches of grilling space and this grill doubles as a smoker. Do not let its size fool you, this grill is made of durable powder coated steel, and puts out 16,000 BTUs of cooking power. Traeger knows their product is high quality and the PTG+ is warrantied for a period of three years from the date of purchase.
It works off standard 110v electricity and has a digital controller where you adjust the temperature to your desired cooking temperature and it stays consistent at that temperature. With multiple cooking temperatures the Traeger PTG+ pellet grill allows you to smoke at temperatures as low as 180 degrees and grill up to 450 degrees with the turn of the knob. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill and do not have to turn your meat.
